Icc Nationals results!

Swansea Falcons Senior team competed at ICC Nationals on the 21st and 22nd March 2009. It was a fantastic weekend, with great results! Our junior stunt group (Becky, Holly, Bronny, Taylor and Vikkie) came 2nd in their catergory, a great results for their first performance as a team. The senior stunt group (Martha, Chloe, Sara, Stacey and Jess) came third in a tough division, so we are very proud of that results too. The senior cheer level 2 team got to perform their routine twice, and the scores were combined. Our Saturday performance was almost perfect, a little shaky in places and we could have performed better. Sunday however, we were all determined to go out on the floor and improve what we did on the Saturday. Luckily our determination paid off, and we pulled off a perfect performance! Our team placed 2nd out of 8, so we were over the moon, we were just glad we didn't come last!

Well done team, you all worked really hard, we are so proud of you and your attitudes. We really bonded as a team and the experience will make us stronger, and ready for the next competition!

ICC Cardiff Results!

Swansea Falcons Junior, Senior and Senior Stunt Team competed at ICC Cardiff on Saturday 24th January 2009.

The Senior Stunt Team performed first. They were very nervous as it was the first time they had performed. We did not have the most technically difficult routine, but it was performed with precision so we were very happy. There were two teams in this division, and although we came second we were thrilled to learn it was only by four points! So well done team.

The Junior team had quite a few changes since our last competition, but they went out onto the floor and hit everything brilliantly. There were only two teams in the division, and the team they were against were extremely talented. Our Junior Team were placed second, and we were very proud of their performance!

Our Senior Team performed last with a quick dash to the practise room after the Juniors performed. We had made a lot of changes to this routine since Jungle Fever, but we pulled it off, hitting every stunt and jump, and the dance looked great! People commented on how clean the team were, so we felt proud of our performance. We were up against the University of Bristol who are all a lot older than our team, most of our team are aged 14-16, so we couldn't believe it when they announced we had come first!

The coaches would like to say well done to all teams, you behaved brilliantly as normal, you represented the team well, and we are proud to be your coaches! Bring on Nationals Seniors!

Future Cheer Jungle Fever Results!

Swansea Falcons junior and senior teams travelled to Chester on Saturday 25th October to compete for the very first time at Future Cheer's Jungle Fever competition. Despite the nerves the juniors produced an amazing performance on both occasions, and came away with 1st place! Coaches Jessica and Chloe were delighted by this, and even had to fight back the tears when it was announced we were now Junior 2 champions 2008.

On the Sunday morning the team arrived again to compete in the Senior 2 division. The team performed fantasically, and the improvement between each round gave the coaches a glimpse of what could be achieved in the future. When the results came around, we were hoping for a top 3 place. As the names were announced from 5th and up, we couldn't contain our excitment, we had come 2nd! We couldn't believe it.

Jessica and Chloe would like to thank each and every member of the team for representing the squad brilliantly. The comments we received from the staff and judges were way beyond our expectations. We would also like to thank the parents who attended the competition, you were all fantastic and the team really appreciated the support. Now we must work hard to improve our skills for Cardiff.....and beyond!

1..2..3..TOAST!
